Obituary of John Nelson Schneider

John Nelson Schneider, 83, of Freehold Township passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Capital Health Medical Center, Hopewell Township. He was born in Trenton, son of the late John Henry and Mary McKinn Schneider. He was a graduate of Trenton Central High School, Class of 1957, and Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. He received a Master’s Degree from the Newark College of Engineering. Mr. Schneider was an electrical engineer at Fort Monmouth before his retirement. Mr. Schnieder was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the Reed Organ Society. He was predeceased by his wife, Susan E. Schneider, in 1989. Surviving are two daughters, Eileen Gray and husband Gregory and Karen Garrahy and husband Ken; three brothers, Kenneth Schneider and wife Dorothea, Thomas Schneider and wife Eleanor, and Hugh Schneider and wife Ann; two sisters, Janet Krince and husband Joe and Mary Ann Deamer and husband John; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Gray. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
