Obituary of Julia Dinkel

Julia Dinkel was born Julia Tratch on January 29th, 1934 in NY. In her early teens she moved to Englishtown, New Jersey with her mother, Mary, her father, John, and her brother, "Andy". In 1956, she married Frank "Soup" Dinkel, and shortly afterwards they were blessed with their daughter Debbie. In 1962, their son Dave was born. Julie was a true giver, someone that went out of her way to help others, and becoming the mother of a special needs daughter only emphasized that trait further. She devoted many years toward turning a challenged family life into something very special. The loss of Debbie at age 26 spurred Julie into devoting much of her life to God. Becoming active in her church, St. Thomas More, she strengthened her beliefs. God, and helping others became her life's passion. Saying that, and adding the fact that visiting Atlantic City was her next greatest love seems contradictory. However, she was even able to make lifelong friendships through her many trips there. A beacon of perseverance and compassion, Julie's days as a caretaker continued throughout her life, caring for her mother, and eventually her husband until their passings. From there, she turned her attention toward actively helping her community and friends at Silvermead in Freehold. Julie was predeceased by her parents, brother, husband, daughter, daughter-in-law Terri, and many close friends. She is survived by her son David, and granddaughters, Ashley and Melissa. Her strong faith in God allowed her to believe in eternal life. She had faith that upon leaving here, she would truly be in the presence of God. While we are saddened by her loss, we rejoice in the fact that she will spend eternity in heaven at His side.
