Obituary of Lois Berman Rubenstein

Lois Berman Rubenstein, 90, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Sunday February 5, 2023. She was born in Trenton, NJ, grew up in Perrineville and raised her family in Freehold. Lois also lived in the Florida Keys, as well as Orlando, but Freehold was always her home. She attended The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton Teacher’s College). She was employed by the State of New Jersey before retiring. Lois was predeceased by her first husband, Larry Berman in 1976 with whom she has four children, followed by Joseph Rubenstein in 1994. Lois enjoyed spending time with family, friends and shopping. For those of you that knew Lois, you would all say she was truly a one-of-a-kind, special person. She is survived by her four children: Keith Berman, and wife Monserrat and daughter Maya Rodriguez. Carla Barrows of Orlando. Evan Berman of Freehold. Andrea Moursy and husband Moustafa of Freehold. Her five grandchildren, Courtney Bateman and husband Jimmy of Orlando. David Barrows and wife Kelsie of Orlando. Zach Barrows of Orlando. Leah McAdams and husband Ryan of Freehold. Sonya Berman and husband Eric of Howell. Her six beautiful great grandchildren, Addison, Sophia, Tyler, Brayden, Corey and Lucas whom she all cherished. Lois is also predeceased by her granddaughter Stephanie Berman along with her parents Adelaide and Henry Wolf. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 12pm at Congregation Agudath Achim Cemetery (Freehold Jewish Center) Business 33 of Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
