Obituary of Gerald David Cobbs
Gerald David Cobbs, 43, of Freehold Township died on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of Freehold Township.
He was a graduate of Freehold Township High School, Class of 1989 and attended Kutztown University.
He was a contractor associated with Extra Driver Leasing, East Windsor. At the time of his death he was driving for Performance General Foods, Elizabeth.
He was a member of the Freehold Church of God where he was a bass guitar player. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who loved God, life, and his family.
Surviving are his parents, Rev. Ira Jean Cobbs and Bishop Gerald Cobbs; his daughters, Imani and Naiya DeAngelo-Cobbs; two sisters, Karen Cobbs and Cheryl Goode and her husband Milton; two nieces, Kayla and Kirah Cobbs; two nephews, Marcus T. Goode and Kaden Cobbs; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The viewing will be held at the Freehold Church of God, 26 Avenue A, Freehold on Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. A time of remembrance and sharing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
