Obituary of Robert E. Womack

Robert E. Womack, 77, of Freehold Township passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township on Saturday, December 10, 2022. He served aboard the USS Forrestal (CVA-59) during the Vietnam War. Bob was a clerk for the United States Postal Services, Freehold from 1969 until his retirement in 2000. He was a member and Past Commander of Monmouth Post No. 54, American Legion, Freehold and a former member of Engine and Hose Company No. 1 of the Freehold Fire Department. His wife, Cathy Yetman Womack, died on June 26, 2022. Surviving are a son, Kevin Womack and wife Caryanne; a daughter, Kelly Machu and husband Joseph Machu, Jr.; and six grandchildren, Joey, Adam, Jesse and his future husband Joseph Pultorak, Victoria, Jack, and Catie. Graveside services with U.S. Navy honors will be held at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to Monmouth Post No. 54, 62 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 would be appreciated.
