Obituary of Luis E. Rivera

Luis E. Rivera, 65 of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he lived in Freehold and New York. He was a graduate of Freehold High School. Mr. Rivera was a maintenance worker for Stavola Asphalt, Tinton Falls. After that, he was a carpenter and locally was a recycling collector in Freehold. He was predeceased by his father, Manuel Enrique Rivera. Surviving is his son, Vincent Rivera and his wife Kimberly, Lakewood; his daughter, Adriana Rivera, Lakewood; his grandchildren, Annalia and Dariana Rivera, and Adrian Rodriguez, and Sebastian and Brisa Cruz, all of Lakewood; His mother, Milagros Martinez, Freehold; his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra M. Figueroa and Phillip Rivera, Freehold; his niece, Monica Tafuri and her husband Dennis, Oceanport; and his nephew, Michael Figueroa and his wife Zaimarie; and four great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 9:30 until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro Township.
