Obituary of Paul E. Bowman

Paul E. Bowman, 71, of Somerset died on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Paul was a heavy equipment operator. He also was a trucker and operated Granny’s Deli, Somerset. While assisting a driver, who had struck a tree on Route 79 in Marlboro Township, Paul was struck by a vehicle and was awarded the Good Year Highway Hero Award for his selfless service He loved his home state of North Carolina and his three dogs, Lola, Princess, and Haley. Paul enjoyed hiking, the outdoors, and being a part of nature. He is survived by his loving daughter, Savannah Bowman; and two grandsons, Jack and Hunter, with whom he loved spending time. Private arrangements are under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
