Obituary of Pearl P. Hawthorne

Pearl P. Hawthorne, 94, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Mrs. Hawthorne spent her career at Avon Products, New York City before her retirement. She was a volunteer at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank and active in the Barbershop Harmony Society Chapter, both of Red Bank. Her husband, James O. Hawthorne, whom she met at Avon Products, died in 2000. Surviving are a niece, Debra Szmaida; a nephew, Michael S. Wanca; a stepdaughter, Sharon Hawthorne; and three stepsons and stepdaughters, James and Joan Hawthorne, William and Ann Hawthorne, and Robert and Dee Hawthorne. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
