Obituary of Sondra Davidofsky Goldfarb

Sondra Davidofsky Goldfarb, age 90, of Freehold, NJ, daughter of Lillie and Herman Davidofsky, passed away at home on Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was born and raised in the Borough of Freehold and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Freehold High School in 1950 and earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Brookdale Community College, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Georgian Court University and an additional 30 credits certifying her to teach English as a Second Language. She had been the secretary with Mr. Wells and Dr. Colangelo at the Laura Donovan School for 14 years (the last 10 years earning her college degrees) and taught ESL for 11 years, all in the Freehold Township school system. Sondra retired in 1996 and was a volunteer in the Freehold Township and Freehold Borough schools. Sondra was married for 51 years to her husband Dr. LeRoy D. Goldfarb (Larry/Doc) who passed away June 24, 2003. She is survived by her daughter Ellen Toomey and her husband PJ and family, daughter Michele Goldfarb, surrogate sons Russell Doughty and Victor Mendoza along with their families. "Ma" as she was affectionately called will be missed by many other family members, friends and neighbors. Sondra was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim, Freehold. Funeral services will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday, October 3 at 11 a.m. followed by interment at the Hebrew Benefit Society Cemetery, Freehold. Family will be sitting shiva at 7 Stillwell Place, Freehold.
