Obituary of Domenick L. Panepinto

Domenick L. Panepinto, 93, of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. He was a chemist for Exxon, Linden where he was employed for over 30 years before his retirement in 1994. Mr. Panepinto was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold where he served as a eucharistic minister. He and his wife served on the church’s Pre-Cana committee for many years. He was a member of Freehold Council No. 1672, Knights of Columbus, a former Cub Scout leader, and former member of the St. Rose of Lima Holy Name Society Softball Team. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Gloria Panepinto in 2013; a son-in-law, David Barkalow in 2013; and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Panepinto in 2018. Surviving are a son, Robert Panepinto; three daughters, Judith Griffith and husband Guy, Jane Barkalow, and Ann Eichhorn and husband Bert; eight grandchildren, Stephen and wife Heather, Michael, Caitlin and husband Dean Morris, Jessica, Kayley, Ashlyn, Keara and Andrew; three great granddaughters, Rowan and Teagan Panepinto and Deanna Morris; and many nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by entombment at the parish mausoleum.
