Obituary of Louis Burnette Richardson

Louis Burnette Richardson was born on September 25, 1943, to Henry and Betty Richardson. He departed his life on August 27, 2022, after an extended illness. On his sick bed he accepted Jesus into his heart. Louis was a lifelong resident of the Woodville section of Manalapan Township and educated in the Freehold Regional School District. He served in the New Jersey National Guard and very proud of this accomplishment. Louis was always a hard worker, even as a young man. He worked long hours at Vikoa Cable, Freehold, NJ and Phelps Dodge, Dayton, NJ for many years, before beginning his career in construction; the field from which he retired. Louis was joined in marriage in April, 1997, to Delores Alexander, and to this union one daughter was born. From his first marriage, three sons were born; and from a previous relationship; a daughter was born. Through his marriage to Lois he also gained two bonus daughters; the youngest serving faithfully as his caregiver. Louis lived life on his terms; working hard and playing hard. He loved to work in his yard; have cookouts with his family and friends; and hangout with his buddies in his “Dogg” House. Louis’ greatest expression of love was allowing his son to be adopted by his ex-wife’s husband, because that was best for his son’s future care. Louis is predeceased by his parents, Henry and Betty; two sisters, Leona Richardson and Bertha Lee Richardson; his cherished friends, Butler “Beaver” Fitzpatrick, Needham Fitzpatrick, Nathaniel McDonald, Willie Frank Ivory, Lonnie “Etra” Brown, and Willie “Buddy” Yarbrough; Major and Vickie Anderson; and his father-in-law, Eddie Green Jr. On a special note; less than 24 hours after his passing, his mother-in-law, Josephine Green of MS, also passed away. Louis will live forever in the hearts of his loved ones; his wife Delores Richardson, his three sons; Louis Richardson Harris, Raymond Richardson, and Marc Richardson of NJ; four daughters; Tanisha Thompson of FL, Tish Alexander of NC, Lea Alexander of NJ, Tandria Richardson of NC; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jones C. Richardson (Joann) and Raymond Richardson (Diane) of NJ; two sisters, Dorothy Ford of NC, his twin, Lois Williams of GA; extended family members, Arthur Fitzpatrick, Trish Fitzpatrick, and Pat Fitzpatrick; good friends, Clinton Anderson and Fred Hamilton; his sister-in-law, Diane Green of MS; five brothers-in-law, Cass Green of GA, James Earl Green of NE, Billy Ray Green of MS, Alan Green of KS, and Roy Green of NY; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
