Obituary of Peter D. Naekel

Peter D. Naekel, 53 of Seaside Park, Passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Virtua Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Camden. Born in Lakewood, He lived in the Freehold area prior to moving to Seaside Park three years ago. Mr. Naekel was a self-employed carpenter. He was an avid, detail-oriented woodworker. He enjoyed antiquing, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Ferdinand August Naekel, Jr. and Phyllis A. Hewitt Naekel, and his brother, Gregory A. Naekel. Surviving are his daughters, Carly F. Naekel, Lakewood, Lauren N. Naekel, Whiting, and Amanda Chalmers, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his fiancé, Gina Gibson, Seaside Park; His brother and sister-in-law, Glen E. and Gina Naekel, Breinigsville, Pennsylvania; his sister, Tracey Detwiler, Cleveland, Ohio; and his nieces, Maggie, Sarah and Jessica; and his former wife, Susan Mooney, Whiting. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street. Freehold. Interment will be private.
