Obituary of Kathleen M. Wagner

Kathleen “Katie” Wagner, 38 of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 after a long battle with mental issues. She was a graduate of Pemberton High School, Cittone School, Westhampton, where she received her medical assistant license, and Burlington County Institute of Technology School of Nursing. After losing her father to cancer as a teenager, she decided she wanted to dedicate her future to helping others by becoming a nurse. She had an overabundance of compassion for sick children and the elderly, and the path she chose until the end of her career went in those directions. She started in a pediatrician’s office, followed by private duty nursing for special needs children, and ending with working in a nursing home. Katie was a free spirit who loved to travel and do her own thing. Her favorite thing was spending time with her son of whom she was most proud. He just graduated from high school last year, and is already a supervisor at a new business in the area. She was looking forward to his belated graduation party. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Wagner in 2000, her uncle, Bob Wagner in 2000, and her grandfather Peter Globis in 2020. Surviving are her son, Robert T. Bozarth, her mother, JoAnne Wagner; her brother, Thomas Wagner; her grandmothers, Diane King and Charlotte Wagner, her aunts, Pat King and her partner Sandra Strande, Agnes Benson, Lorraine McKenna and her husband Shawn, and Susan Wagner; her uncles Joe King, John Globis, Jim Wagner and Dave Wagner; and many cousins. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Words of remembrance will be offered at 3:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, Donations to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 would be Katie’s wish.
