Obituary of John James Gardener, Sr.

John James Gardener, Sr. 60, of Jackson Township died on Tuesday, May 3, 3022 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was born in Neptune Township. He had attended St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Freehold. Surviving are a son, John J. Gardener, Jr.; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Joseph Griffith; a brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and Christine Gardener; a sister, Nancy Wittenburg; a granddaughter, Violet Jean Griffith; several nieces and nephews including Dylan Gardener and Robert and Mark Wittenburg; and many loving friends. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
