Obituary of Joseph Ippolito
Joseph Ippollito, 92, of Waterbury, CT died on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Waterbury. He was born in Sannicandro, di Bari, Puglia, Italy and had resided in Howell Township for many years.
He was a wholesale produce broker and consultant.
Joseph loved his family, his vineyard the land, and lived his life to the fullest!
He was predeceased by his first wife, Gail Ippolito in 1994; a brother, Vito Ippolito; a sister, Annette Zuccaro; and brother-in-law, John Zuccaro.
Surviving are his second wife, Anne Ippolito; a daughter, Dinah (Ippolito) Sapunarich, (spouse - James); a son, Donald Ippolito (spouse- Rose); a daughter Mary (Ippolito) Gohar, (spouse-Larry); a grandson, Robert Sapunarich (spouse, Jenoa; a sister-in-law, Josephine; sister, Isabel (spouse- Frank Diceglie); sister, Mary (spouse-Vic Novielli); sisters and brothers-in-law, Rita and Dom Scalera and Pauline and Oronzo Ranieri; sister-in-law, Josephine; and MANY beloved nieces and nephews.
He was a faithful member of the Knights of Columbus and supporter of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia (formerly of Ringwood, NJ)
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
