Obituary of Carrie Bell Crudup Clancy
Carrie Bell Crudup Clancy, 83, of Willingboro died Thursday, April 21, 2022 at The Samaritan Hospice Center at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly after a lengthy illness. She was employed at various jobs throughout her life which included nursing assistant, custodian at Freehold High School, cafeteria aide at Willingboro High School, Burlington Coat Factory in Burlington, Board of Education, Willingboro, bus assistant, First Student, Willingboro, bus assistant, State of New Jersey, Division of Youth and Family Services, and a foster mother to many children and teenagers.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Freehold Mission and Freehold Branch for 65 years.
Carrie was born in Freehold to Omega and Roberta Eaton Crudup and has been a Monmouth County and Burlington County resident for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Raymond Clinton Clancy, SR. who died April 17, 2022.
Surviving are a daughter, Roberta Crudup Hunt, New Jersey, stepson, Raymond Clinton Clancy, Jr. Pennsylvania, stepdaughter, Wanda Clancy, Ohio; three grandchildren, Chenita (Tom) Perez, New Jersey, John Hunt Sr., Texas, and Sean Hunt, Sr. New Jersey; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandsons; sisters, Lottie Crudup Reid, New Jersey, and Geraldine Crudup (Harold) Littlejohn, S.C.; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, church family and friends.
The viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ, 4 Factory Street, Freehold on Tuesday, April 26 from 10:00 am. To 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the church at 12:00 p.m. with Brother James Crudup, Sr. officiating. The interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
