Obituary of Edith Laricy

Edith Mae Laricy, 83, of Freehold Township passed away on Saturday April 16, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Laricy was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. She met her husband Robert in Europe while he was serving in the military and moved to the United States in 1960. She was an avid tennis player and was a member of the Racquet Club of Manalapan. She also bowled at the Howell Lanes, enjoyed watching March Madness on television and was a New York Yankees fan. Mrs. Laricy enjoyed time at the beach and the latest fashions. She was a former volunteer at St. Rose of Lima School, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert N. Laricy, in 1993; a son, Michael N. Laricy, in 2017; and a grandson, Kevin DiGiandomenico in 2020. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Joseph Bartolomei, Annette and Matthew Cervenak, and Christine and James DiGiandomenico; a daughter-in-law, Jeannine Laricy; 11 grandchildren; and a great grandson. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Co-Cathedral of St. Robert Bellarmine, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. The interment will be held at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
