Obituary of Agnes Higgs

Agnes L. Higgs, 79 of Jackson Township passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson Township. Born in Louisburg, North Carolina, she lived there and in the Freehold area prior to moving to Jackson Township six years ago. She was a machine operator for Union Carbide, Freehold Township for over 30 years, retiring 15 years ago. She was a member, usher and choir member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church, Nash County, North Carolina. Agnes was a TrueBlue San Francisco 49ers fan! She was predeceased by her parents, Maurice E. Higgs and Nettie L. Davis Higgs; and her brother, Frank Edward Higgs. Surviving is her son, Charlie E. Higgs, Jackson Township; two sisters, Nettie Sample, Jackson Township and Flossie Holmes, Freehold; three grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 11:30 am to 12:30 PM. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
