Obituary of Ann Orechwo

Ann L. Orechwo, 92, of Whiting, formerly of Colts Neck Township, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mrs. Orechwo was head cook at Manalapan High School before her retirement 28 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting and a former communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Colts Neck. She was a member of the Whiting Station Seniors and the Colts Neck Senior Citizens Club. She loved spending time with her family whom she admired and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Her husband, Michael Orechwo, died in 2006. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Shari Orechwo; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and David Healey; a brother, Raymond Winkowski; two grandchildren, Austin Healey and wife Jillian and Samantha Healey; three great grandchildren, Donovan, Carly, and Jensen; and a devoted friend, Sal Marques. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated.
