Obituary of Eric J. Helies

Eric J. Helies, 28, of Jackson Township passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick Township. Eric resided in Howell Township before moving to Jackson. He was attended Aldrich School and graduated from Howell Middle School. He was a graduate of Howell High School, Class of 2011. Eric was a graduate of the Monmouth County Fire Academy and volunteered for the Howell First Aid and Squad No. 1. He was predeceased by his mother, Eileen Hurley Helies, in 2008. Surviving are a son, Eric J. Helies, Jr.; his father, Bruce E. Helies and stepmother, Kim Ghilardi; and his former wife, Jennifer Jackson Helies. Visiting will held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Shriners Hospital (https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/en) would be appreciated.
