Obituary of John Brian Hawthorne

John Brian Hawthorne, 64 of Jackson Township passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Kimball Medical Center Southern Campus, Lakewood. Born in Neptune Township, he lived in Freehold prior to moving to Jackson Township 29 years ago. Mr. Hawthorne was a CDL driver for C&L Sweepers, Jackson. John enjoyed bowling and gardening, and spending time with his family. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping, and was a member of the Turkey Swamp Rod and Gun Club, Freehold. John was a loving son, father and husband. He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Estelle Hawthorne. Surviving is his wife, Dawn Hawthorne; his son, Michael Evan Hawthorne, Jackson; his father, Harry Hawthorne, Freehold; two brothers, Wayne Hawthorne and his wife, Patty, Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Bruce Hawthorne and his wife Raquel, Tampa, Florida; and two sisters, Linda Tvahora and her husband Warren, and Vicki Kirwan and her husband Robert, all of Barnegat. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday February 19, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
