Obituary of Mary Louise Taylor

Mary Louise Taylor, 78, of Millstone Twp., passed away peacefully at CentraState Medical Center on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Her strong will to live could not overcome her many health challenges. Louise Taylor was born in Neptune, NJ and lived in Millstone Twp. for most of her life. She was a 1961 graduate of Allentown High School and a 1965 graduate of Georgian Court College. She began her teaching career at Allentown Elementary School and taught at Millstone Twp. Elementary School for 21 years before her retirement in 2004. She was actively involved in fundraising for the Millstone Twp. Hospital Auxiliary at CentraState and served as president since 2006. As one friend so eloquently said, “There are no words to express the kindness of her heart.” She found great joy in her pets, her close friendships, and her community. Once you were on her birthday or anniversary list, you would receive a card and a heartfelt, handwritten note every year! She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Robert Taylor, and daughter Lorraine Mazza and son-in-law Leonard Mazza of York, Pennsylvania. She was a bright light in the world and will be missed terribly by all who knew her. The visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services and a time or remembrance will be held at 6:00 p.m. Face masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
