Obituary of Eleanor E. Dill Berendt

Eleanor E. Dill Berendt, 91, Millstone Township passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at home. Mrs. Berendt was a secretary to a plant manager for many years before joining her husband in the operation of their 92-acre farm. Mrs. Berendt was a longtime member of the Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent where she met her future husband whom she married at church on January 2, 1954. She loved to sew and play the organ. Her husband, Carl Berendt, died in 2017. Surviving are three nieces, Linda Berendt Kelich, Judith Dill Chimienti and Lisa Dill; three nephews, Edward Dill, Raymond Dill, and Joseph Chimienti; several great nieces and nephews; many cousins and friends. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
