Obituary of Brian David Deffler

Brian David Deffler, 64 of Manalapan Township, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Weehawkin, he lived most of his life in Manalapan Township. Mr. Deffler was the officer-in-charge for the collections department for the Western Monmouth Utilities Authority, Manalapan Township for 35 years, retiring two years ago. He was a former member of the Robertsville Fire Department, Marlboro Township, the Gordons Corner Fire Department, Manalapan Township, and the Neptune Hose Company No. 1, a part of the Long Branch City Fire Department, Long Branch. Surviving is his son, Daniel Deffler, Freehold. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Fireman’s service will be held at 5:00 PM. Donations in his memory to the Neptune Hose Company No. 1, 30 Branchport Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 would be appreciated.
