Obituary of William C. Brittingham

William C. Brittingham, 93 of Freehold passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township. Born in Raritan Township, he lived in Middlesex County prior to moving to Freehold in 2017. Mr. Brittingham was a surveyor for the Township of Piscataway for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the American Legion Post No. 1000, Trenton. He was predeceased by his parents, Nathaniel and Elizabeth Williamson Brittingham; his son, William C. Brittingham, Jr.; and a brother, Nathaniel Brittingham, Jr. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Ethel Hartman Brittingham; a daughter, Kathleen Stuart and her husband Paul, Hickory, North Carolina; a brother, John “Jack” Brittingham and his wife Annette; Edgewater, Florida; five grandchildren, Michelle Rivera and her husband Thomas, Melinda Parris, Holly Whalen and her husband Jaysen, Paul Stuart, Jr., and Timothy Stuart and wife, Corenia ; and five great grandchildren, Alyssa, Thomas, Jaysen, Zackary and Brayden. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday. Interment will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
