Obituary of Giacomo Impastato

Giacomo Impastato, 88, of Freehold passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Sicily and resided in Brooklyn, N.Y. before moving to Freehold in 1984. Mr. Impastato was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. He was a painter before his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Giuseppa Galente Impastato; four daughters, Nancy Namio and husband Emmanuel, Rossella Ferranti and husband Frank, Francesca Impastato, and Stephanie Scotto DeClemente and husband Ettore; a brother, Ignazio Impastato; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Visiting will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
