Obituary of Carrie Rupner-Lewis
Carrie J. Rupner-Lewis, 55, of Freehold died Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township after a long and hard fight with cancer despite the odds. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Carrie was a floral designer for Twin Pond Farm, Howell Township.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Freehold.
She was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1978.
Carrie was well known for her creative and imaginative gardening style, was a passionate crafter, and loved interior design.
She was a former 4H Leader.
She was predeceased by her father, John N. Rupner in 2001.
Surviving are her husband, Kevin L. Lewis; a son, Zachary; two daughters, Meghan and Jessica; her mother, Catherine Rupner; a brother, John Thomas Rupner and his wife Claudia; two sisters, Jill Shimp and her husband William and Elizabeth Avallone and her husband Michael; many nieces and nephews; and her dearest friend, Pat Knox.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 91 West Main Street, Freehold on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Graeme Preston Foundation for Life, 151 Broadway, Freehold, NJ 07728 (www.graemeprestonfoundation.org or The Patrick Ring Foundation P.O.
