Obituary of Elvira Theresa DeLucia

Elvira Theresa DeLucia, 92, of Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Wedgwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Freehold Township. She was born in New York City. She was known for her keen intellect, selfless dedication to her family, and devotion to the New York Yankees. Mrs. DeLucia was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband Alphonse DeLucia in 2009; a son-in-law, Keith Larkin in 1996, and her seven sisters and a brother. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law Albert and Janet DeLucia; a daughter, Laura Larkin; two grandsons, John Larkin and wife Tania and Michael Larkin and wife Kristy; and three great grandchildren, Nicholas, Giuliana, and Scarlett. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Friday at 10:30 a.m. The interment will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105would be appreciated.
