Obituary of Jean Marie Delatush Mack
Jean Marie Delatush Mack, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday October 30, 2021.
Born on August 24, 1935 to Joseph E. and Rose Hanlon Delatush, Jean grew up in Adelphia, NJ where she attended Howell Township Schools and Freehold High School, Class of 1953.
Jean married her high school love, Joseph “Gene” Mack, in 1952. Together, they were married for 65 years, and raised three children- Joseph, Kathy, and Cyndy, at Hominy Hill Farm in Colts Neck, NJ.
Always active and interested in community affairs, Jean was a member of the Jaycettes, President of the Junior Woman’s Club of Freehold, and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Monmouth Court House Chapter, Freehold, NJ. Jean was employed at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank, NJ where she went on to work in office management for several area doctors.
Jean loved sailing with friends in the Inner Harbor, traveling the east coast with her husband, and their vacations together in Florida and Manasquan Beach. Her greatest love was her home and family.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Gene, her parents Joseph Delatush & Rose Lima Hanlon, and sisters Nancy Jo Klinger & Louise Ada Brocklebank.
Jean is survived by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Fenity, and brother, John Joseph Delatush; her children Joseph (Irene) Mack, Kathleen (Steve) Hesslein, and Cyndy Mack (Alain Robillard); grandchildren, Alainah Robillard, Daniel (Christi) Hesslein, Stephany (Kenny) Anderson, Paige Robillard, and Joseph Mack. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Nathan, Natalie, Savannah, and Tinsley Hesslein, and Caden Anderson.
Services and interment will be private.
