Obituary of Emilia V. Gonzalez

Emilia V. Gonzalez, 98 of Freehold Township, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at home. Born in Venezuela, she lived in Union City and Lakewood prior to moving to Freehold Township in 2012. She attended St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, and recited the Rosary daily. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lino Gonzalez in 2007. Surviving are two sons, Lino Gonzalez, Jr., Lake Como, and Michael Gonzalez and his wife Kimberly, Tampa, Florida; two daughters and sons-in-law, Josephine and Blaise Simonetti, Freehold Township and Hilda Gonzalez-Barboza and Fernando Barboza, Parlin; four grandchildren, Julissa Cantos, Jessica Herbert, Kevin Kellinsky-Gonzalez and Michael Blaise Gonzalez; a great granddaughter, Carissa Cantos; and three sisters, Margarita Rodriguez de Alvarez, San Felipe, Venezuela, Laura Pinero, Los Teques, Venezuela and Angelina Rodriguez, Guatemala City, Guatemala. Loving and caring for her family was her top priority. She was an incredibly courageous, strong and brave individual. These qualities, along with her values, will remain with us forever. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.
