Obituary of John Lempka

John Lempka, 54, of Beaumont, California died on January 27, 2015 in California. He was born in Neptune Township and raised in Freehold. John was a graduate of Freehold High School, Class of 1978 and attended Kean College. He was employed in the gaming industry for 30 years. John will be remembered for his love of family, as an avid golfer, his passion for baseball, and his infectious laugh. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Lempka and a brother-in-law, Francis Byrne. Surviving are a son, John Lempka, Jr., USN (SEAL), a daughter Kate, and their mother, Leslie; two brothers, Edward Lempka and wife Margaret and David Lempka and wife Suzanne; four sisters, Frances Byrne, Jane Visalli and husband Joseph, Carol Griffin and husband Steven, and Christine Sulva and husband John; an uncle, Stanley Makowski; and many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
