Obituary of Timothy Paul Lewis
Timothy Paul Lewis was born on November 21, 1949, in Neptune, NJ to the late Oscar and Elizabeth Lewis. He departed this life on August 13, 2021, at Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware.
Timmy attended the Freehold Public Schools and was very active in sports, playing both baseball and basketball into his years at the Freehold Regional High School.
Timmy was employed as a city bus driver with Delaware Transit Corporation (DART) for many years and then with Swift Transportation, Inc. as a city truck driver, retiring in 2010.
Timmy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Nothing he enjoyed more than watching the game with family and friends. He was well known for his humor and love of stylish clothes. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Timmy was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Dorothy Austin and brother-in-law Larry Brown.
Timmy won the playoff game and entered the Superbowl of heaven on August 13, 2021.
He leaves to review the highlight film of his amazing life and cherish precious memories: a devoted and loving companion Carol Williams, two children, Maneka Brinson and Timothy Hood, one grandchild, Najada Hester, one sister, Lenora “Mollie” Thomas, one brother, Rodney Lewis, and wife Charlette and a devoted cousin-like sister Louise Brown, and a host of nieces and nephews, Tiana, Rasool, Devin, Anton, Shayla, Rodney Jr., and Jasmine. Also recognizing loving extended family Paris and Isiah Clark.
Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Saturday August 21, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
