Obituary of Dolores J. King

Dolores J. King, 81, of Freehold passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 7, 2021 surrounded by her family. Born in Neptune Township, she resided in Freehold her entire life. She was predeceased by her parents, Ida and Tennent Emmons, Sr.; her husband, Patrick L. King, Sr., and her siblings, Edith Phillips, Bertha Reynolds, Mary Hyers, Tennent Emmons, Jr., and Janet Petro. She is survived by her sister, Vera Baggitt; her children, Frances Worth, Patricia Cottrell, Darlene Voorhees, Christine Gardener, Patrick King, Jr., Kathleen Wilson and Joseph King; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Dolores loved spending time with her family, playing cards and bingo, and watching her favorite shows. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. with interment to follow at Adelphia Cemetery. Donations in her memory to the American Diabetes Foundation, Center Pointe II, 1160 Route 22 East, Suite 103, Bridgewater, NJ 08807 would be appreciated. Masks are social distancing are required during the viewing hours and funeral service.
