Obituary of Joan Kirwan McKeon

Joan Kirwan McKeon, age 87, of Halethorpe, Maryland passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Beloved wife of the late James McKeon. Loving mother of Mary-Joan Maffia and her husband Joseph, Bernadette Henry and her husband Brian, James McKeon and his wife Anda Grunska, Bridget Vohs and her husband Walter, Sheila Faulcon and her husband Keith, and the late Theresa McKeon. Cherished grandmother of Maura Henry, Deirdre Henry, Kevin Henry, Kaitlin Faulcon, Kyle Faulcon, Erin Henry, Kamryn Faulcon, Henry Vohs, Kayden Faulcon, James Vohs, Jessica Maffia, Michelle Maffia and her husband Josh. Great-grandmother of Liam. Joan is preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Conway and Jean Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to the Special Olympics. Family and friends are invited to gather at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ 07728, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Gabriel’s Church, 100 N. Main Street, Marlboro, NJ 07746, on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 11:00am with interment to follow at the parish cemetery.
