Obituary of Frances Kapish
Frances Mezic Kapish, a lifelong resident of Manalapan Township passed away at home on Monday, June 7, 2021. She was 98.
Fran was born on October 8, 1922 in Helmetta to parents, Tekla and Anthony Mezic. She married her husband, Nicholas Kapish and lived in Manalapan where they raised their daughter Barbara.
Fran was happiest outdoors where she could be found hunting, trapping, and fishing. Every year she took great pride planting the most beautiful and bountiful vegetable garden and flower garden which she shared with all those who stopped by for a visit. A dozen fresh eggs always found their way into the bag. Stray cats, baby birds, and wild turkeys were to lucky to venture into her yard for her to raise.
Fran is predeceased by her parents, husband, brother Mitchell Deptula and sister Violet Dalik.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Holland of Port Orange, Florida and sister Olga Ulatowski of Englishtown, loving Nana to Alan Holland, Jr. and his fiancé Peggy Downey, John Holland, Kathleen Rinaldi and her life partner Jerry Castoral and Kathy Holland, great grandchildren, Megan Stoop and her husband Jesse, AJ Holland and his wife, Elayna, Lacey Rinaldi, Nick Castoral, and great great grandchildren Olivia and Jackson Stoop. Also many nieces and nephews, in particular nieces Debbie Forman and Linda Lazewski who loved and cared for Aunt Fran in her last years along with her caretaker Ann.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
