Obituary of Richard Lawrence Freeman

Richard Lawrence Freeman, 89, of Marlboro Township died on Friday, June 11, 2021 at home. He was born in Bloomfield and had resided in Marlboro for the past 58 years. He was an aviation consultant for Bendix Allied/Honeywell, Inc. where he was employed for 45 years before his retirement. Mr. Freeman was a loving father and grandfather who was an avid fan of the University of Connecticut Huskies Women’s Basketball and the Philadelphia Eagles. He enjoyed vacationing in the Amish countryside with his wife. Mr. Freeman was a past member of Airborne Law Enforcement Association. He was a friend of Louis, Kathy, Jerry, Rich, and Bill W. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalie L. Freeman, in 2016, a son, Richard L. Freeman, Jr. in 2014, and a daughter, Deborah Leigh Freeman, in 1976. Surviving are three daughters, Jacquelyn Jackson, Pamela Smith and Lisa Ann Grande and her husband Vincenzo Grande; a son, Scott Anthony Freeman; five grandsons, Anthony Scott Freeman, Jack V. Grande, Michael Cleary, Larry Jackson and Sean Jackson; two granddaughters, Brittney Lynn Freeman and Amanda Jackson; two great grandchildren, Jacob Jackson and Katelyn Jackson; and a great great grandchild, Janessa Jackson. Private services are under the direction of the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Memorial donations can be made to the Monmouth County SPCA in Eatontown, NJ
