Obituary of Marilynn O. McGantlin

Marilynn O. McGantlin, 67, of Manalapan Township passed away at her home on April 29, 2021. She was born in South Amboy and was a lifelong resident of the Englishtown area. She enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City and her horses, and loved to care for her yard. She was predeceased by her mother, Emily, her father William, her sister, Marjorie Boleski, and brother. Michael McGantlin. Lynn was a loving aunt to Kathleen Zalewski (Adam) and Laura Boleski (Brad); and a great aunt to William Zalewski and Christopher Zalewski (Sydney Robjohns), She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Thomas Boleski; and many loved cousins. She was known to pull up in hot pink limousines to get her family members or drag them for long hours to Harrah’s Casino. She knew how to have some interesting family get-togethers in pajamas and pink limos. She loved her family history as original townies, in and around the Monmouth County area. She loved writing her finds in the family newsletter and letting us all know where we came from, and how we got to where we are. Visiting will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. The interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Monmouth County Historical Association, 70 Court Street, Freehold, NJ 07728.
