Mary was the most determined and motivated and uplifting individual I've had the pleasure of working with. She always put everyone else above herself. I'll miss her dearly as a mentor and more importantly, as a friend.

Mary was a great friend and colleague. She found joy in seeing others grow and succeed. She was always eager to help others with a positive attitude and an eagerness to accomplish the goal. I hope the many that knew and loved Mary will embody some of her amazing qualities and carry on her legacy. Mary will truly be missed. May her soul rest in peace.

Mary was a mentor, mother and friend to myself and many. I met Mary 4 years ago on April 17, 2017. She was returning to the Service Desk the same day, to be the Service Desk Manager and I was her new employee. During our first encounter, I knew that I would like this part of my new journey. Mary took me under her wing and taught me everything I needed to know about the job. She allowed me to use my skill sets to make processes more efficient for myself and our team and I loved about her. She believed in me and I thought so highly of her.
I am where I am today because of her. She was one of my biggest cheerleaders and motivators. Mary would call me Superstar but in all honesty, she’s the real Superstar. Her devotion to serve and help others is what I loved most about her. I’m devastated about the loss of a warrior. You were more than a manager. You were a mentor, a friend and were beautiful inside and out. I will forever love and miss you.
Until we meet again......Rest peacefully!
P.S......I’ll have a pan of banana pudding ready for you.

I am so sorry to hear about Mary. Mary really helped me in my career by inviting me to locations such as DC, Phoenix and Cleveland, to assist and learn from her and others, I am deeply hurt by her passing…I could not express in words or feelings how much she has helped me. I will not be able to be present at her beautiful departure of this existence, but wanted to make sure you carried with you, my feelings of love and honor that I have for her. Please extend my condolences. Thank you!

I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Mary over the last year. She was so kind to me and was always there to help and share her knowledge. Mary was truly passionate about serving our HHS customers and was a great team player. She also had the best sense of humor! I found myself laughing almost every time we talked. Mary always had a joke to help brighten up the day. :) I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to work with her and will truly miss her.
I pray that God grants her family strength and comfort.
May your soul be at peace, Mary.

I met Mary in late 2015. I was middling in an entry level job going nowhere when she arrived as manager of our team. After a couple weeks she took me under her wing and never looked back. She has since put in me in two different jobs (including my current with HHS) where we worked as a team for 2 years traveling to other states and regions, improving their processes, setting up new offices or moving offices from building to building and floor to floor. We met and worked with countless amazing people and they always laughed at our bickering and working dichotomy. We would say "that's just what we do". Often customers would marvel at how efficient in our work we were, we would say "that's just what we do".
I would not be where I am or who I am today without Mary. I think many of the people reading this would say the same about themselves. Mary was the first person in line to help you achieve something you wanted if you worked hard enough...she was also the first to call you on out on your BS if you deserved that too, which was more than once with me, ha. I know Mary will have found peace knowing we will remember all the laughs and jokes we all shared with her.
Until the next time Mary, we all will miss you and look forward to seeing you again, because that's just what we do.

As a newer employee to the DCIO Team there was not much that I knew about the team. Mary could have easily used my ignorance against me as an employee. Yet she did not because it was just not in her nature to do so. She showed patience with me as I asked my questions and made me feel comfortable to ask any question. That is the definition of a kind person. We will miss her in the office and over the zoom meetings. A true leader and colleague. My condolences to her family and praying for Mary and her family. Her kindness will always be remembered.
Rest In Paradise Mary,
From a colleague (Shannon Howard) that learned a lot from her.

My sincere condolences to the family..
Mary was such a genuinely nice person. We met in person months after we spoke via the telephone and/or in meetings. When we met it was comparable to two cousins seeing each other at a family gathering. She was certainly loved by all and possessed an infectious smile. I will miss you dearly, Mary. Rest in Paradise...

Mary was beautiful person to work with. She always greeted you with a smile.
She and I would often talk about our love to do Paint Nights.. While Mary was good at drawing people and faces, I on the other hand could paint abstracts. She would share with me what she painted and what she was going to do next.
I will truly miss our conversations but most of all her wisdom! She always had and idea or a suggestion on how to make the process better. Mary, I guess your purpose was served here on earth, so God called you home to help get things organized in Heaven. I will cherish our friendship always.
May you rest in heavenly peace my dear friend!

My prayers and condolence go out to the family.
Sorry for your lost, a great person, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend.
Mary my friend has gone home to be with our father.
She smiles down from heaven and heaven smiles from her.
I remember the first time I met Mary.
She always had that positive attitude.
She was a good mentor to a lot of people.
We worked together on and off for the last 7 to 8 years, but the last two has been the greatest.
We traveled to different sites as a team completing various projects; usually about three or four of us
Mary was always planning and making sure we never missed a beat.
She went home doing what she liked best, working, and helping others.
I am going to miss calling her once a week to talk about family and current events. She loved her son so much, and I loved when we talked during the holidays, she tells me the special ways her and her son celebrated together.
I know I am all over the place here, but Mary was like that there is so much kindness and love in her heart it is everywhere
The physical is gone the smile remains
The laughter is gone the joy remains
The here and now is gone the memory remains
Mary is not gone her love remains
I will never forget my friend
