Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth D'Angelo

Dorothy Elizabeth D’Angelo, age 76, entered eternal peace in her home in Freehold on April 21, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Dottie is predeceased by her parents, Dorothy and Edward Keller. She is survived by her two siblings, Bill and Fran; her loving husband Ken, of 55 years; and their three daughters, their eldest daughter Dede and her husband, Anthony Vignali; Cheryl and Bob Dethier; and her youngest daughter Karen and her husband, Misko Gavric. Additionally, she is survived by her greatest pride and joy, her seven grandchildren: Dominic, Nicholas, Vincent, Isabella, Gianna, Kayla, Michael, and her loyal dog, Lovie. She also has many nieces and nephews who loved her. Her early years were spent in Brooklyn, NY until she married Ken when they moved and raised their three children in New Jersey. After many years of being a stay-at-home mother, she decided to become a real estate agent where she worked for almost 20 years. She received the most joy from helping to raise her grandchildren as well as frequently traveling with her husband, along with cooking and baking for everyone. She was well known for all of her arts and crafts activities that created so much joy for not only her grandchildren but even her friends. She used to teach weekly ceramics classes for adults and children. Even within the past two years, she was inspired to crochet scarves and blankets for all of her grandchildren. She was the kindest person you’d want to meet. There have been so many people who say that they loved her and that she was such a Saint. Dottie was a very selfless woman and would do anything in her power for anyone. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Her faith, strength, and self-determination kept her fighting valiantly until the very end regardless of her circumstances. The viewing will be held at the Saint Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 on Monday, April 26, 2021, from 10:30 -11:00 am with Mass to follow. For the safety of the public and staff, we ask that everyone abides by the CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 procedures. The funeral Mass will be limited to a specific amount of guests as per invite-only. Facemasks will be required for entry into the church.
