Obituary of Rita Ann Gravatt

Rita Ann Gravatt, 79, of Freehold passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Wedgwood Gardens, Freehold Township. She was born in Neptune Township and was a lifelong resident of the Freehold area. She was a counterperson at Mendoker’s Bakery, Jamesburg. Prior to that she was employed at Freehold Highs School and Marlboro High School. She was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Adele Schneider Thompson. Surviving are her husband, Gary Gravatt; two sons, Michael and wife Leane and Russell; a brother, Paul Thompson; a granddaughter, Jessica; four nieces, Catherine, Amanda, Brooke, and Dierdre; and several great nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org would be appreciated.
