Obituary of Fritz J. Schaffer

Fritz J. Schaffer, 74, of Toms River passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 at home. He was born in Newark and had been a 30-year resident of Lakehurst. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. His wife, Gail Schaffer, died in 2018. He was also predeceased by a sister, Diane. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 35, Trenton. Surviving are a son, Fritz Schaffer, Jr.; three brothers, William and John Schaffer and Ronnie Puczilowski; two sisters, Betty and Linda; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
