Obituary of Sandra Lynn Rudko
Sandra Lynn “Sandy” Rudko, 54 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 6, 2021 at home with her husband by her side. Born in Freehold Township, she lived in Englishtown and Spotswood prior to moving to Sayreville 14 years ago.
Mrs. Rudko was an overnight stocker for Wegman’s, Manalapan Township for 16 years. She enjoyed being a member of the “Overnight Team”, and after leaving work due to her illness she received a letter of commendation thanking her for her hard work, dedication and loyalty to her employers and co-workers.
She was a member of the Englishtown Presbyterian Church.
She was a New York Jets fan; and she enjoyed cooking, especially her “Award Winning” Chicken orzo soup. She also had a green thumb when it came to gardening, and will be remembered for her wave petunias that she planted every Memorial Day weekend. She also loved bass fishing and yard sales.
Sandy was always there to help anyone who needed it, and will be remembered as a woman who loved life and her family.
An avid animal lover, she leaves behind her loyal canine companion, Brody who never left her side thru her brave battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her brother, James Vass.
Surviving is her husband, Ronald J. Rudko; her son, Stephen Fascia, Brick; her stepson, Ryan Harms, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; her parents, Donald and Virginia Kegley Vass, Little Genesee, New York; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Betsy Rudko, Toms River; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert Rudko, Carteret, and John and Richelle Rudko, Flemington; her nieces, Morgan and Katelyn Rudko; and her uncle and aunt, Ed and Helen Burke, Englishtown.
Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangements.
