Obituary of George J. Stahl

George J. Stahl, 74, of Howell Township died on Friday, February 5, 2021 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Hoboken. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He served as a Weehawken Police Officer for 29 years and retired with the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of the Weehawken Police Benevolent Association, the New Jersey Honor Legion, and the Vietnam Veterans of America. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Bradley Stahl; two sons, Brian and wife Heather and Daniel and wife Joedy; three grandchildren, Riley, Cooper, and Emily; two sisters; four brothers; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Vietnam Veterans of America (www.vva.org) would be appreciated.
