Obituary of Robert V. Minton, Jr.
Robert V. Minton, Jr., 82, of Monroe Township passed away at home on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born in Trenton, resided in East Brunswick for 40 years and in Henrico, North Carolina before moving to Monroe Township three years ago.
He served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1961.
Mr. Minton was a maintenance supervisor for the Ford Motor Company, Edison before his retirement. Prior to that he was employed at Personal Products, New Brunswick.
He was a former member of the East Brunswick Independent Fire Company and the Nut and Bolt club at Personal Products.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mildred Minton, and a brother, Richard Minton.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Currey Minton; his children, Robert V. Minton, IIII (Nicole), Debra Minton, and Carolyn Petroff (James); a sister, Jeanne Dow; four grandchildren, Susan, Angela, Courtney, and Mikalya; and two great grandchildren, Trevor and Brayden.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held during the viewing at 6:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wounded Warriors Project or Tunnels to Towers would be appreciated.
