Obituary of Richard J. Kielian, Sr.
Richard J. Kielian, Sr., 81 of Freehold passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Sayreville prior to moving to Freehold 50 years ago.
Mr. Kielian was a security officer at Freehold Raceway for 15 years, retiring several years ago. Prior to that, he was employed at Algro Knitting Mills, Milltown.
He was a U.S.Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a former member of the Freehold Finn, Fur and Feather Club. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Macchia Kielian in 1993.
Surviving is his daughter, Kathleen Hozak and her husband Jason, Howell Township; his son, Richard Kielian, Jr., Jackson Township; and his dog, Chewy.

Funeral services will be private.
