Obituary of Anne Geraldine Erndl
Anne Geraldine Erndl (ne’e Hughes), of Millstone Township passed away peacefully at her home on February 1, 2021. Born in Glasgow Scotland, on April 20, 1943, Anne is the youngest sibling of eleven brothers and sisters with whom she was fondly know as Jelly.
In 1964, as a registered nurse, Anne immigrated to the United States.
She was employed at Monmouth Medical Center, where she would meet her future husband James. They were married in July 1966.
Later on, Centra State Medical Center became her new home, where she worked for over 30 years until retirement.
In 1996, Anne became a United States Citizen.
Her loving husband James, daughter Sheila, two sons, Ian and James, a daughter-in-law Josephine, survives Anne.
She is also survived by four grandchildren; Kyle, Nicholas, Seamus, and Samena. Eileen Jacobsen is Anne’s only remaining sibling.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan Township on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
