Obituary of Milzonia Gibson

Milzonia Gibson, 83 of Freehold passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Benevolence, Georgia, she lived most of her life in Freehold. Mrs. Gibson was a factory worker in the Freehold area, most recently working at Washington Forge Company, Englishtown. She also worked in the kitchen at CentraState Medical Center. She was a loving mother and was always there to help raise her nieces and nephews. She loved her trips to the Atlantic City casinos and to the Parx Casino, and enjoyed her “scratch-off” lottery tickets. She was predeceased by her husband, John Gibson; her children, James Simms, Earl Simms, John K. Simms, Shirley Simms, and Rosemary Simms; a great grandson, Eternal Simms; as well as her siblings Albert Sanks, Sarah Tumor, Eugenia Powell, and Mary Diggs. Surviving are her daughters, Rosalind Simms, Dorothy Dehaney and Angela Hill; a sister, Ann Fenn, Keyport; 24 grandchildren; and 47 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday January 22, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
