Obituary of William "Bill" Estenes
William “Bill” Estenes,72, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at University Medical Center at Plainsboro looking forward to his heavenly Father. He was predeceased by his wife Janice and his dog Mercedes.
Bill also left behind three brothers, Martin and wife Jane, Joseph and wife Laura, and Paul and wife Dawn; four sisters, Dorothy, Barbara, Deborah, and Jean; and many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Freehold High School, Class of 1966. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from March, 1969 to March, 1970 and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for bravery over and above the call of duty. He was also awarded the Army Accommodations with Oak Leaf cluster for bravery. Those were the glory days.
Bill worked for Nestle of Freehold for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing and just sitting outside looking at the golf course and pond. There are all God’s creations and he appreciated all. “Don’t worry about me I know I am in good hands. God bless you all”.
Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Memphis TN would be appreciated.
