Obituary of Carlos L. Cartegena

Carlos L. Cartagena, Jr., 39, of Neptune Township died August 19, 2016 in Newark. He was born in Long Branch. He was predeceased by a sister, Kimberly. Surviving are two sons, Carlos and Jose; his parents, Carlos and Lydia Cartagena; two brothers, Luis, Rochester, N.Y. and Jose, Freehold; his sisters, Milagro, Millville, Anaida, Awilda and Virginia, all of Rochester, and Abigail, Freehold; his grandmother, Juanita Roldan; 22 nieces and nephews and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Visiting will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Joseph Roldan officiating. The interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
