Obituary of Evelyn Elfstrom

Evelyn K. Elfstrom, 98, of Freehold Township passed away at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Jackson Township on Friday, September 18, 2020. She was born in Freehold Township and was a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Elfstrom was a graduate of Freehold High School. Mrs. Elfstrom as a school bus driver for the Freehold Township Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Freehold where she served as a deaconess and Sunday School teacher. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Carl. B. Elfstrom in 1997, and her sister, Alma Andreeff. Surviving are her sons, Eugene Elfstrom (Kandy), Florida and Carl Edward Elfstrom (Beverly), Freehold Township; a daughter, Ingrid Slade (Desmond), Jackson Township; her grandchildren, Christopher Elfstrom and Elisa Alexander; great grandchildren, Connor, Ireland, Alexis, and Allison; two nieces, Irene Tyndall and Kathy Heftman, and a nephew Mickey Andreeff. Visitation will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment the Brigadier General William C.
